Advocacy For The Importance Of Physical Activity In Living

Submitted by: Dr. Badr Alshibani

Having experienced the risks and trials of becoming obese during my college years, I was able to overcome them all. While studying Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy at King Saudi University, being obese didn’t stop me from pursuing my dreams to finish my course.

As time goes by, I then realized I needed to control my eating habits and lose weight. I realized that obesity is a risk to my health and may cause certain complications in the future. I began to develop determination and started losing weight in moderation within a span of only three months! My aim to stay fit has been a success.

Today, I am able to establish my credibility when it comes to health and wellness. I was able to motivate a lot of people to keep a healthy lifestyle. I am now promoting health and wellness by teaching appropriate exercise and fitness programs to my clients. I encourage people to never get discouraged and give up just like what I did before.
