Bose Invisible Speakers Installation

By Izzy Khavinson

Bose is known for creating sleek home audio systems and this dedication to streamlined design shows when you prepare to set up a Bose Invisible System. Bose Invisible Speakers Installation seems very simple, compared to other home theaters systems but that what you need to know:

1.The very first thing to do is to measure the depth of your walls and ceiling. Do it before buying! The modern tools make it easy to cut holes in the ceiling or walls and check its depth.

2. Understand the concept of surround sound speakers. These speakers produce the small background noises that generate the feeling of being in the center of the action (surround sound). Proper placement of surround sound speakers is crucial to audio quality.

3. Determine the location to install your Bose Invisible Speakers. These speakers should be located in the rear half of the room, one on each side.

4. Obtain any additional accessories needed for surround sound speakers. Purchase any needed custom-designed wall brackets or floor stands, if needed. These may not be necessary in all cases.

5. Set the speakers in position in the designated location. Make sure you have enough wires to reach.

6. Bose manufactures a variety of products to reduce the number of parts and wires needed, including its Virtually Invisible Speakers. These speakers are designed to be mounted inside a wall or above ceiling and can be installed without special training.

Things you will need for installation:

1. Audio receiver

2. Pencil

3. Keyhole saw

4. Speaker wire

5. Wire stripper

6. Wire clippers

7. Wire running kit

8. Electrical tape

9. Phillips-head screwdriver

Step by step installation:

1. Find the studs in the wall or ceiling with a stud finder and mark them with a pencil.

2. Determine the desired location of the speaker and mark it with a pencil. Most of the speaker body must fit in, so the optimal position for the speaker is at least 4 3/4 inches away from the studs.

3. Place the cutting template against the dedicated space at the point marked with pencil.

4. Trace the outline of the cutting template against the dedicated space with a pencil.

5. Insert a keyhole saw into the space in the center of the pencil tracing of the cutting template. Rotate the saw so it makes a small, circular hole.

6. Saw outward toward the outer edge of the tracing. Saw your way around the outline until it is fully cut out.

7. Insert a finger into the small, circular hole and pull out the cut portion.

8. Insert the keyhole saw and rotate it to make a small, circular hole.

9. Tape the end of a length of speaker wire to the end of a wire running kit with electrical tape.

10. Insert the tip of the wire running kit with the attached speaker wire into the hole and run it to the speaker location.

11. Pull the wire running kit through the speaker hole and pull the wire running kit back out through the small hole.

12. Strip the ends of the speaker wire with a wire stripper.

13. Attach the stripped ends of the speaker wire to the screw terminals on the side rear of a speaker with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Match the “+” and “-” terminals marked on the wire with their corresponding terminals.

14. Run the opposite end of the speaker wire to your stereo receiver. Cut the wire to the correct length with a wire clippers, strip the ends with a wire stripper and attach them to the binding posts at the back of the receiver.

15. Test the speaker by playing audio through your stereo receiver.

16. Insert the speaker into the whole and tighten the screws in the speaker face with a Phillips-head screwdriver to secure it in place.

That is all to it. Good luck.

SBC teams with Scientific-Atlanta for cable TV rollout in 13 US states

Saturday, April 2, 2005

Regional U.S. telephone giant SBC Communications is one step closer to offering cable television to the 18 million households in its 13 state coverage area. The company announced a $195 million contract with Scientific-Atlanta Thursday to provide a video operations center and regional hubs for the new service. Under the brand name, U-verse, the SBC’s television rollout is set to launch in 2006 after field trials begin later this year.

The company is seeking the so-called “triple play,” where a telecommunications company offers voice, data and video in one bundled package. Local telephone companies like SBC have been losing business to cable TV companies, which have added telephone and Internet services in recent years.

In a slew of recent deals, SBC is looking to stop that trend. Within the past six months it has signed alliances with various technology firms to build out a fiber network to the home strategy. For instance, SBC has a $1.7 billion deal with Alcatel to build out its fiber optic network and a 10-year, $400 million, pact with Microsoft to license its IPTV technology to allow multi-channel television to stream over its Internet backbone.

In most of the U.S. only cable TV companies like Comcast have been able to offer the “triple play” of voice, video and data services. But traditional phone companies like SBC and Verizon have been upgrading their copper wire telephone networks to fiber optic. SBC says it plans to spend billions of dollars to overhaul its telecommunications network, saying the aging and brittle copper wires which were originally laid in the early 1900s do not have enough bandwidth to allow television capability.

International exhibit of chair art starts in Canada

Monday, November 21, 2005

The international entry mail art show SAT: An Exhibit of Chairs was put on display Friday in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Held in the Fridge Front Gallery at the Shoppers World Brampton mall, SAT is a diverse collection of artworks focusing on a generally mundane object, the chair.

Works in the show range from realism to abstract, dadaism to surrealism, post-modern to collage.

While some of the entries were submitted directly to Visual Arts Brampton, most came from a previous exhibit. Organized by Pati Bristow, No place to rest, chairs you can’t sit on ran at Shopping Trolley Gallery West and Seaman’s Library at Foothill College, both in Los Altos Hills, California, earlier in 2005. Guest curator Nicholas Moreau was unaware of the similarly themed exhibit, held so soon before. The theme for SAT was based on that of a 1987 juried art show organized by Visual Arts Brampton at the now-defunct Chinguacousy Library Gallery.

Works in Visual Arts Brampton’s showing of the exhibition are from 17 countries including Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Pakistan, Romania, Spain, Uruguay, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.

This is Visual Arts Brampton’s third mail art show. In 1999, Susan Williamson created The Great Canadian Mail Art Show for Artway at Bramalea City Centre; the show was so successful that the Art Gallery of Peel adopted it in 2001. The concept of a mail art show was revived in 2004 by Moreau, held at the new Artway Shoppers World. The Snail Mail World Postcard Art Show has been held annually since.

Visual Arts Brampton’s Fridge Front Gallery primarily hosts artwork by youth from its kids classes, and from schools in Brampton and Oakville. In contrast, the nearby Artway Gallery hosts artwork by professional and amateur adult artists from across Peel. VAB has successfully sought permission to create a third display space in Shoppers World, in the Zellers corridor. The space will host shows of mail art and works on paper year-round. The planned “World Art Gallery” will be the first ever permanent display space for mail art.

Securing The Seo Services You Need To Boost Your Business Success

byAlma Abell

Investing in expert SEO services is the No. 1 way to boost your web traffic in a meaningful way, and gain more conversions from visits. When done correctly, online marketing – including PPC ads, SEO, and more – is the primary way to attract business and make sales happen. However, even the best modern business managers may struggle with understanding or securing these services. This is where the help of SEO professionals comes in handy.

Tailoring Services to Fit Your Needs

Some business owners prefer to do business with an internet marketing specialist face-to-face, while others prefer to leave the work to the pros and never schedule a single in-person meeting. With so many different approaches to the world of online marketing, it’s best to patronize businesses that are flexible and provide both types of services. Shopping with companies that offer specifically what you need is a sure-fire way to get the results you want.

Business owners in the Houston, TX area can contact internet marketing agency eWebResults for assistance with increasing market reach and conversion results. These local professionals provide consumers both close to the Houston area and elsewhere with PPC management services, instruction in search engine optimization, and more. Serving both nearby and national gives these providers an excellent collection of past clients from which to pull real-world experience within the industry – experience they pass along to new clients every day.

In-House or Contracted? It’s All About Business Size.

Although many large corporations now employ website marketing management teams on-staff, this isn’t usually an option for small businesses. For these brands, the best bet is to consult dedicated SEO service professionals for help with making vital connections and turning them into business contacts and consumers. SEO services are now and are likely to remain the number one way to take small businesses into the stratosphere, and whether you employ these professionals directly or through a marketing company, it’s an investment you won’t regret.

Australian Federal Police say Wikileaks committed no crime

Friday, December 17, 2010

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) has stated that the whistle-blowing website known as WikiLeaks has committed no crimes in Australia by publishing over 250,000 United States diplomatic cables. An investigation by the AFP into the release of the cables revealed that Wikileaks had not broken any laws under Australian jurisdiction.

“[The AFP has] not identified any criminal offences where Australia has jurisdiction and as a result have not commenced an investigation,” said Robert McClelland, attorney-general of Australia in a statement to the press. “As has previously been stated, given the documents published to date are classified by the United States, the primary jurisdiction for any investigation into the matter remains the United States.”

The investigation into Wikileaks actions came after the Australian Government referred the release of U.S. diplomatic cables to the AFP. McClelland stated that the Government’s reaction to the WikiLeaks issue was “prudent.” Further cables that the Government queries the legality of would also be forwarded to the AFP as well. He also added that the government remains “concerned” about the situation and “unauthorised and irresponsible distribution of classified material.”

Controversy had also been raised today after Julia Gillard changed her stance on the release of the cables from calling the action “illegal,” to calling it “grossly irresponsible,” after the AFP had released their findings. Ms Gillard said at a press-conference in Sydney today that she did not intend to say that the release of the cables was illegal, but that their theft was. Deputy leader of the opposition (Liberal Party) Julie Bishop said there was no room for Ms Gillard to “weasel out of it.”

“She is a lawyer. She well knows about the presumption of innocence,” said Bishop. She added that the prime minister’s legal background did not warrant her comments. Calls have also been voiced by the Green’s Senator, Scott Ludlam, for Ms Gillard to retract her comments.

Wikileaks has been the subject of past investigations in Australia. In March of 2009, the proposed Australian Communications and Media Authority internet blacklist was leaked to the website. That matter was also referred to the AFP, who later abandoned pursuing criminal charges.

“It’s my understanding from the AFP that they considered the prospects of success under their guidelines, but it wasn’t sufficient to get a prosecution,” said Chairman Chris Chapman during a Senate Estimates Committee meeting in February.

Bremer Freimarkt, oldest fair in Germany, reaches its climax

Monday, October 29, 2012

The Bremer Freimarkt (Free Fair) — historically one of the oldest fairs in Germany — has its greatest event with the Free Fair Procession “Freimarktsumzug”; this year’s Freimarktsumzug took place Saturday.

The procession started Saturday morning on the opposite side of the river Weser in the “Neustadt” and passed the city hall about one hour later. 146 colorfully decorated groups were taking part, some of them dancing to their own music, and were watched by about 200.000 people in the streets during more than four hours of the whole performance. The event could also be viewed on television and on livestream on the web.

The Free Fair opened on the place behind the main station of the city of Bremen a week ago. The origin of this popular event can be traced back to the year 1035. Nowadays it has been called the “biggest Fairground Festival in northern Germany”.

For a few years, an historical spectacle involving actors of the theatre group Shakespeare Company has been part of the opening performance of the fair. With a replica of an old cog an ambassador enters the banks of the river Weser close to the city and walks with his companions to the market place in front of the city hall of Bremen where the Kleiner Freimarkt (Small Free Fair) is opened. Members of the Chimney Sweep Guild hang up a big heart at the statue of Roland as a sign of the opened market. The traditional opening takes place in the Bavarian tent on the Bürgerweide behind the main station of Bremen with the tapping of the first keg by the incumbent Senator of the Interior of the Free Hansetown of Bremen. This is followed by the dance with Miss Free Market on the stage. Late at night, also fireworks are lighted over the place Bürgerweide and can be admired by people. The exclamation Ischa Freimaak (It’s Free Fair) is meant to spread a relaxed and unreserved atmosphere among the guests.

The fair is a major source of revenue for showmen, carousels and food stalls, some of which arrived nearly two weeks before the opening from all over Germany. This year the Freimarkt is to last until Sunday November 4. The subsequent disassembly, especially the technically complex rides, should then take about ten days.

Lib Dems launch manifesto

Thursday, April 14, 2005

An exhausted Charles Kennedy returned to the election campaign to launch a twenty page Liberal Democrat manifesto targeted at disaffected Labour voters, promising a fairer tax system and withdrawal from Iraq.

Entitled The Real Alternative the manifesto pledges to reduce the lowest rate of income tax, but increase the rate on those earning over £100,000 to 50%. The party would also scrap the unpopular local council tax in favour of a new local income tax. The manifesto also promises to remove hidden “stealth taxes”.

Under this system the party claims the poorest 15 million (25%) of people in Britain would be better off, and the middle 50% would be paying no extra tax.

The manifesto promised to scrap the controversial university tuition fees, increase services for pensioners and add £100 a month to the state pension, and train 21,000 new primary school teachers and 10,000 new police. A Lib Dem government would make eye and dental checks free, and reduce the cost of prescription medicine.

The Liberal Democrats were the only one of the three largest parliamentary parties to have consistently voted against the Iraq war, and the manifesto has promised an exit strategy with a phased withdrawal of Britain’s 8,000 troops still in the country.

“We reject a foreign policy based on ‘my ally right or wrong’,” Kennedy said. “And we say that war should always be a last resort.”

Kennedy, who became a father on Tuesday, admitted he’d had little sleep before the manifesto launch, and stumbled while answering questions on the proposed tax system.
